Sam Tsianis, eminent Greek American musicologist, professor at the Binghampton University passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2022. Sam has been a close collaborator and friend of successive generations of researchers at the Folklore Archive / Hellenic Folklore Research Centre (HFRC), Academy of Athens for more than 6 decades. The HFRC has published his books with musical recordings of folk songs on Skyros Island, Valtetsi and Vytina Peloponnese. References to his work are included in many publications of the Academy of Athens. Αιωνία σου η μνήμη σεβαστέ δάσκαλε και αγαπητέ φίλε!
