     The National Record Collection was established in the Folklore Centre in 1966 in accordance with Law 4545.  In the National Record Collection records of folk and popular music are deposited by record companies.  Today the Collection possesses about 13,000 records and considerable number of CDs in duplicate and is continuously acquiring new material provided by music companies and individuals.
